Sauna and cold plunge installation, planned with your gym.
An infrared sauna, a cold plunge and a recovery room, designed alongside your home gym so the electrical, water and ventilation are in the drawings from the start.
Who handles sauna and cold plunge installation in Vancouver?
Vantage Gyms handles sauna and cold plunge installation in Vancouver homes as part of the gym design. Power, drainage and ventilation are planned in the drawings, not added later. Start with a free in-home consultation, then receive a fixed-price written quote before anything is ordered.
The work behind a sauna and a cold plunge.
Retailers sell the units. A working recovery suite also needs the room around them to be right. These are the five things we plan, and the specifics always come from the model you choose.
Electrical for the sauna
Home infrared saunas commonly call for their own dedicated circuit, and plug-in models vary in the amperage and outlet they specify. Larger units may need 240V. We check the spec for the model you choose and have the circuit in the drawings, with a permit where your municipality requires one.
Water and drainage for the plunge
A cold plunge is heavy once filled and the water has to go somewhere. A floor drain is the cleanest answer, and a pump is the fallback where there is none. We plan the route and the discharge with the plumbing before the tub arrives.
Ventilation and moisture control
Heat, steam from a plunge's surface and a chiller that gives off warm air all end up in the room. An exhaust path and moisture control keep the space comfortable and protect the finishes, which matters most below grade.
Floors and walls that handle heat and water
Wet, warm rooms need finishes chosen for them: water-resistant flooring with a sound slab or structure underneath, and wall surfaces that tolerate moisture. We specify these with the structure in mind, since a filled plunge adds real weight.
Placement next to the gym
A contrast routine is easier to keep when the sauna, plunge and training floor are steps apart. Planning them together lets us put wet and dry zones where they make sense and share the services between rooms.

Frequently asked questions
Who does sauna and cold plunge installation in Vancouver?
Vantage Gyms designs and installs recovery suites in Vancouver homes as part of the gym build. Because the sauna and plunge are planned with the gym, the electrical, drainage and ventilation are in the drawings. The free in-home consultation gives you a preliminary budget range.
How much does a home sauna and cold plunge cost?
It depends on the units you choose and how much work the room needs, such as a new circuit, drainage and finishes. You get a preliminary budget range at the free consultation, then a fixed-price written quote before anything is ordered.
What electrical does an infrared sauna need?
Infrared saunas commonly need a dedicated circuit, and plug-in models differ in the amperage and outlet they specify. Some larger units use 240V. We read the spec for the model you choose, and put the circuit in the plan with a permit where required.
Can a cold plunge go in a basement?
Often, yes. Basements need a sound slab, a drainage plan and good ventilation and moisture control, and we check ceiling height and the floor under a filled tub. We design for these during planning.
Should I choose an infrared or a traditional sauna?
Both are options in the wider market, and the right one depends on your space, services and preferences. We design around infrared saunas from Clearlight Saunas and Sunlighten, and we will talk through what fits your room at the consultation.
Can I add a sauna or cold plunge to an existing home gym?
Yes, if the space and services allow it. We assess where power, water and drainage can reach and whether the room can handle the added moisture. It is simpler when planned from the start, but it is often possible afterwards.
How long does a recovery suite take, and is the consultation free?
Most builds take 8 to 16 weeks from consultation to handover, depending on scope and lead times. The in-home consultation is free and carries no obligation, and a recovery suite is included in our Signature tier.
